Do you accept Medicare?
Yes we do! Medicare beneficiaries make up about 30-40% of our caseload.
Do you accept private insurance?
Summit Physical Therapy & Performance accepts most major insurance plans. We’ll happily contact your insurance company and verify/explain your benefits to you in plain english within 24-48 business hours.
What are your fees?
If you have a deductible to fill before your insurance company covers care, you can expect to pay for services at the time of your session.
60 minute 1:1 evaluation with your physical therapist: $165
55 minute 1:1 treatment session with your physical therapist: $135
Do you offer packages?
Yes, we do! Packages can be purchased for the following rates:
5 pack session: $625
10 pack session: $1,150
Fees do not apply to Medicare beneficiaries.
Is there a cancellation fee?
Cancellations within 24 hours will incur a $75 fee. Cancellations within 1 hour or a no-show will incur a $100 fee or forfeiting of the session if you are using a package deal.
Do you use techs, aides, or assistants during sessions?
We do not. Every session is 1:1 just you and your therapist.
Do I need a referral for physical therapy?
Not in Maryland. MD is a “Direct Access” state, meaning you can go to a physical therapist without a referral or prescription.
How long until I see improvement?
The vast majority of our clients see improvement in their symptoms within 2 weeks of initiating care. Time to resolution of symptoms depends based on severity, how long this issue has been present, and many other contributing factors (such as occupational demands etc) that can impact the healing process.
What do I wear to physical therapy?
Comfortable clothing that allows the physical therapist to see and examine the area and surrounding areas of concern. For example, if you are coming in for…
Knee pain: don’t wear tight leggings! We need to be able to roll pants up to your mid-thigh. Shorts or loose leggings are perfect.
Shoulder pain: t-shirt.
Hip pain: same as knee pain, shorts, or loose pants/leggings.
Back pain: comfortable pants and shirt that can be rolled up or adjusted so that the therapist can examine the area of concern.
